What is hydroxyapatite?

The calcium mineral that makes up about 97% of tooth enamel. Because it's what your teeth are already built from, it deposits into the surface rather than sitting on it. It's been the standard alternative to fluoride in Japan since the 1980s.
Why fluoride-free?

Fluoride works, but it carries a swallow warning and a lot of people would rather not have it in the house. Hydroxyapatite gets to the same place — remineralised enamel — with no warning label, so children and adults can share one tin.
Will it actually whiten my teeth?

Two ways, and neither is bleach. Purple PAP lifts the surface film from coffee, tea and wine. Hydroxyapatite thickens the white enamel layer so less of the yellow dentin underneath shows through. It won't take you to a veneer white, and nothing safe will.
How long until I see something?

Smoothness in the first week, sensitivity easing around week two, visible colour change around week four. It's a rebuild, not a bleach, so it accumulates rather than spiking and fading.
